1. “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.” Matt 24:29
2. “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” Matt 24:30
3. Heavenly Pronouncement: “And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou should give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and should destroy them which destroy the earth.” Rev 11: 18
4. Trumpet blast!! “And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, ‘The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.’ And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, saying, ‘We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which is, and was, and is to come; because thou has taken to thee thy great power, and has reigned.’” (Rev 11:15-17)
5. “And He shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” Matt 24:31
a. “Then two men will be in the field, one will be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill, the one shall be taken, and the other left.” Matt 24: 40-41
b. Dead in Christ to rise first: “For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not precede them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.” 1 Thess 4:15-16
c. “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” 1 Thess 4:17
d. Rewarding of the saints. The ‘works’ of the saints equate directly to the five crowns (see Crowns & Rewards on our Website), and these crowns positionally represent what the saints will do throughout all eternity. After the rewarding ceremony is over the bulk of the saints are translated to the ‘Paradise of God’, which is in the New Jerusalem. “Each one's work shall be revealed. For the Day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try each one's work as to what kind it is. If anyone's work which he built remains, he shall receive a reward. If anyone's work shall be burned up, he shall suffer loss. But he shall be saved, yet so as by fire.” 1 Cor 3:13-15
6. Battle of Jerusalem erroneously called the Battle of Armageddon. (The winepress, Rev 14:19, 19:15). “And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the anger of God.” And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, so that with it He should strike the nations. And He will shepherd them with a rod of iron. And He treads the winepress of the wine of the anger and of the wrath of Almighty God.
7. Judgment Seat of Christ (sheep and goat separation). “When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory. And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.” Matt 25:31-33
The sheep herein referred to are the Jewish remnant who had been in places of refuge scattered around the world — they are required to seed the millennial kingdom. The goats are all the wicked of the earth. Neither of these groups are caught-up at the sounding of the trumpet.
a. “And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the Word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast nor his image, nor had received his mark on their foreheads, nor in their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. The second death has no authority over these, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with Him a thousand years.” Rev 20:4-6
b. “Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, ‘Come you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.’” Matt 25:34
c. “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.” “And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.” Matt 25: 41,46
